Problem: Legacy site had fragmented IA and inconsistency across mobile/desktop and components.
Outcome: Redesign increased clarity of core pages and improved consistency across the site for both mobile/desktop versions.
Approach: Used agile, iterative elicitation with other board members for their respective pages to simplify navigation, introduce a lean design system, and improve flows.

I worked on BusiBee as a UI/UX Designer and Researcher during my Fall 2024 Quarter in Design @ UCI's Project Teams Program. I used this time to sharpen my skills in wireframing, prototyping, and UX research methods.
BusiBee is a mobile app to provide a platform where small businesses can find and build a supportive community of users.
ZotConnect was a project that I developed in a team of 4 during IrvineHacks 2024. I learned how to wireframe for the first time there, as well as write code against the clock. This was one of my first steps towards my career.
ZotConnect is a web application crafted to establish straightforward communication between professors and students.
I made this website portfolio to showcase my personal projects that I'm the most proud of! This also served as a learning experience for front end development and UI/UX design. I learned the basics of HTML, CSS styling, and Bootstrap styling and layouts. This was my very first web portfolio that I coded, and I'm proud to say that it is mostly done in front-end.
hi! nice to see you again! once again, my name is aaron lin, and i am a senior-standing third-year at the university of california, irvine. i was born in taoyuan, taiwan, and i moved to the u.s. when i was 5. i am currently studying informatics and human-computer interaction as well as studying psychology on the side. my career aspirations are to be a ui/ux designer and researcher, which i am currently on the right path towards.
technology-wise, i love to make silly prototypes in figma, and create the most bizarre designs my mind can come up with. hobbies-wise, i love to play my bass guitar, take candid pictures, collect blind boxes, and play tennis!
